FT Chile, after an initial meeting with our clients (Fire Departments or Private Companies), thoroughly gathers information about their needs, including vehicle specifications, type, engine, firefighter capacity, and budget. This kicks off the search phase. 

 

We search for vehicles on every website in the United States where Fire Departments are selling their units due to new equipment arrivals. FT Chile focuses on operational or recently retired vehicles.

We also explore options at specialized US dealers like Command Fire Apparatus and Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus. Buying from dealers offers the advantage of their expertise in these vehicles, which undergo strict inspections and reconditioning according to US standards in specialized workshops with certified personnel.

Once a suitable unit is found, an inspection visit is arranged with the owner (fire department or dealer). This includes checking the engine, transmission, water pump, maintenance history, latest pump certification, and ladder certification (if applicable). After inspection, a detailed report with photos and videos is provided.

Our services include negotiating the vehicle's price and managing the entire export process from the US to Chile. We stay in contact with the seller to monitor the vehicle's progress before shipment and coordinate delivery dates and fumigation at the port of origin with the shipping agent.
